The Handicraft Association of Leksand, with its large art and craft store, is situated in the heart of Leksand, in the beautiful province of Dalarna. It was founded in 1904 by the artist Gustaf Ankarcrona, the first such store in Sweden to open outside Stockholm. Our emphasis has always been on originality and quality.


The"LEKSANDS HEMSLÖJD" is now one of the most important outlets of handicraft products in the area. We sell unique local handicraft, perfect for souvenirs or gifts. In our light spacious store we have a selection of traditional local handicraft as well as exciting work of a new generation of craftsmen.

We also sell Leksand folk costumes, new and second hand.

For those interested in needlework, embroidery or knitting, there is a large selection of yarn and patterns. You will also find handknitted sweaters, linen, metal art work, wood handicraft and ceramics.
